Istanbul Art and Antique Fair (IAAF) concluded on Sunday and we’re excited to share some memorable moments with those who could not make it. As Babylons, we were proud to represent our community, as well as the blooming NFT movement, as the main sponsor of this prestigious event.
The doors of Istanbul Congress Center (ICC) opened to VIP guests on November 3rd for an exclusive opening ceremony and preview of the exhibition. The ceremony was crowned by a live concert by the world-renowned pianist Gülsin Onay.
The “PHYGITAL” Revolution
The Babylons booth became the center of attention from day one! We welcomed many art collectors to our community, and introduced them to the “PHYGITAL” Revolution. 300 artworks hand-picked by our Creative Department were displayed on our main booth.
Enter the Metaverse
Our VR Scanning Booth was by far the most exciting part of the event. Attendants formed lines to get a chance to be 3D scanned along with famous artists and celebrities.
The Metaverse is on the horizon, and it will be a game changer. Babylons is already at the spearhead of this paradigm shift.
Past Meets the Future
One of our goals in this event was to build a bridge between the physical and the digital, between traditional artforms and the world of endless possibilities opened up by the NFT revolution. We created full-fidelity digital assets for physical artworks.
Hundreds of years of artistic legacy will thus enter the Metaverse through our cooperation with our partnered galleries. Paintings and antiques, created centuries before computers were even dreamed of, are now becoming NFTs thanks to our cutting-edge technology.
Antique NFT Giveaway
We have also created a limited edition NFT for our guests as a token of our appreciation for their enthusiasm. For some, this was the first NFT they had ever owned. We’re hoping that it will be not only a fond reminder of this event, but also the start of a growing collection of digital art.
Babylons x Master of the Tattooverse VR Booth
Our VR booth in collaboration with Master of the Tattooverse was also a great hit! Attendees had the opportunity to experience a 3D VR world and work on their own artistic creations.
VR technology is opening up a lot of possibilities for artists. Master of the Tattooverse is one such project, giving aspiring tattoo artists a space to work on new and creative ideas within the Virtual Reality. We recommend you check them out!
Babylons x IAAF was our biggest real world event yet, and we are very proud of the outcome. We will continue to work on projects that bring the physical and digital worlds together. It was great to meet our community members and share our enthusiasm with them.
