Babylons is the first community-owned NFT marketplace for creators, investors and collectors and operates on the Binance Smart Chain. Both Babylons and Vapor95 prioritize their community and ideology above all.
Babylons’ partnership with Vapor95 is the platform’s first with a fashion brand. This partnership aims to extend the limits of the NFT space and will emphasize the merger of the physical and digital worlds on both NFT space and the fashion industry. We can’t wait to share what is in store for the Babylons community.
Vapor95, headed by River Accorsi, is an online fashion brand offering more than clothing, it delivers an aesthetic lifestyle promoting the vaporwave art movement highly influenced by the early internet age of the 1990’s and technology as a world-wide underground subculture. Their brand translates into apparel promoting self-expression, utilizing the advantage of their ethical “made-to-order” production capability and mycelium-like network of incredibly talented artists. Vapor95 brings in works of artists worldwide, such as Nemupan, Vinne Art, Mizucat, Seerlight, FVCKRENDER and Mad Dog Jones.
Vapor95 will also be manufacturing the official merchandise for Babylons and their collaborations by kick-ass artists. In partnering with Vapor95, Babylons will offer all the verified artists on the platform and $BABI holders the privilege of transforming their NFTs into physical and wearable artifacts upon request. Each physical artifact will be encoded with the unique contract address of the NFTs tied to it in order to certify the originality of the merchandise. These items will be manufactured with top notch quality standards and shipped worldwide to the owners of the NFTs. All production and logistics processes will be handled by Vapor95.
Creators of these physically tied NFTs will be able to mint the NFTs in the Physical Drops Collection (PDC). Another prerequisite for physical NFT drop eligibility is to provide the correct form link as unlockable content tied to the subject matter NFT. Unlockable content form will only be accessed by the owner of NFT in PDC. Owner’s will be able to receive the physical drop by referencing the specific transaction ID of the NFT purchase. A mechanism will enable the second hand sales of the NFTs in PDC, while allowing only one shipment to be made for each NFT-tied merchandise.
Verified $BABI token holders will be rewarded as well and will be eligible for awesome surprises.
This is just the beginning of what we are planning in the long term-relationship between Babylons and Vapor95, which we hope will only get deeper over time. You can expect some big surprises from Vapor95, who have recently launched a successful NFT packed with a ton of utility.
